About Me
I have had the privilege of developing a strong background in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, with extensive experience in both teaching and research. Throughout my career, I have focused on molecular biology, proteomics, and cell signalling, making significant advancements in understanding and addressing metabolic disorders such as cancer, liver diseases, diabetes, and osteoporosis.
Over the years, I have progressed through several academic ranks, from lecturer to professor, and have gained international experience as an Assistant Professor at Kumamoto University in Japan. This experience greatly enriched my teaching and research skills while broadening my global scientific perspective. I also had the honour of serving as the Director of the Research Cell at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University. During this time, I led research initiatives, secured research grants, and mentored faculty and students, contributing to the enhancement of the university's research profile.
My research primarily focuses on investigating the molecular mechanisms of diseases, particularly protein-protein interactions and post-translational modifications in cell signalling pathways. I have had the opportunity to publish my work in prestigious peer-reviewed journals, including Nature Communications (Impact Factor: 15.7) and Cell Metabolism (Impact Factor: 30.9), with a total of 700 plus citations, an h-index of 10, and an i10-index of 10. These milestones reflect the impact my research has had in the field of biotechnology.
In addition to my academic work, I have been fortunate to receive numerous prestigious national and international research grants and fellowships. I remain deeply committed to advancing academic excellence, mentoring the next generation of scientists, and developing innovative solutions to address critical health challenges. My leadership, passion for biotechnology, and dedication to research continue to drive my ongoing efforts to make meaningful contributions to the field.
